In the beginning the video looked interesting, but in the crash scenes I immediately remembered this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sK1wM-5Bquc

Quote from Shotglass :you should try playing descent

Yeah Descent, luckily i'm not prone to motion sickness, but Descent always gave me a dizzy feeling if played too long.

Too difficult to drive is my guess. I agree to what you said about the Formula V8, for me it's the best and most rewarding monoposto in LFS.

Also tried Velocirounds hq settings, and it hurts my eyes in a matter of seconds. It feels like i'm going blind . Though im must admit it makes LFS look better. Anyway, bloom is so 2005, today games use HDR, which improves the graphicss without looking like someone punched you in the eyes recently :tired:

Quote from Shadowww :Avira, for sure.

I'm also using Avira, it's made by germans and germans are painstaking, as a virus scanner should be

kkrieger is a 3D first person shooter with a size of just 96kb. I found it really, really impressive, a demonstration of programming skills.

Nice video, thanks for sharing this. This looked like the 2005 Raceabout, while in LFS we have the 2003 Raceabout, could be a reason why it felt more stable.

Quote from Shadowww :WINE is open source, so you can compile it on ANY arch.

Never tried it, but I doubt that you can run x86 applications on a PowerPC using Wine. I think you would need an emulator to do that.

As far as i know from the way port forwarding works in my router, yes the port has to be open and accessible, or noone will be able to connect to the server.

Can't say what's wrong in your config though. But in your config there is a line which says "62292 - server port". And you're forwarding to port 63392, is that correct?

-Try to capture while LFS is in windowed mode (shift+F4)
-Capture LFS in a very low resolution, like 320x240, to see if your HDD is the bottleneck.
-Let Windows defragment the disk/partition where Fraps saves the video

Fraps is already very fast, I don't think you will find a much better capturing tool. GLC is very efficient, but it's only for Linux and OpenGL (I know this doesn't help you ).

I hear sound from the video, but the screen stays black. Whatever video format you used for that video, even ffmpeg can't play it. And that generally means it's very uncommon. Why don't you reupload the video, using something widespread like Xvid.

Thanks for your ratings. I had a feeling the onboad-cam part wouldn't be liked very much. But getting this 1/2 laps done, without loosing control of the car was really hard work, and I hoped that would be visible in the video.
